Join us this summer for the Gallery’s very first inter-city exhibition, which sees some of the most exciting names in contemporary British art converge in a one-of-a-kind group show.
I will be exhibiting three paintings alongside an exceptional collection of artists from across Shropshire and the UK, including several established names in the world of British contemporary art, notably Birmingham’s Temper, widely recognised as one of the most successful and talented graffiti artists of his generation and Manchester’s Liam Spencer, once quoted by artist Bridget Riley as belonging to ‘that rarest of all traditions – the tradition of good painting’.
The exhibition is intended to be a celebration of the ‘extraordinary in the ordinary’, a painted curation of ephemera and places that are often unseen or go unnoticed. From the beautiful ‘ordinariness’ of suburban life to the fantastical complexities of utopia, this exhibition invites us to explore the time and place in which we exist.
The free to view Exhibition opened its doors on Saturday 27th July and runs until Saturday 31st August, 10.30am till 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday at Mrs Jones Art Shop & Gallery,
118 Longden Coleham, Shrewsbury SY3 7DU
The Exhibition also forms part of this year’s Shrewsbury Arts Trail, which is already in full swing, with events and exhibitions across the town. As part of the Shrewsbury Arts Trail Exhibition I also have work hanging in The Parade.
